Credit Card Purchases
Although our goal is to give you cash back automatically, sometimes it may take up to 7 days for the cash back to appear in your wallet. In some cases, a qualifying credit card transaction may take longer to process than other ones. The best way to know if your purchase was recognized as a credit or a debit transaction is to look at the top or bottom of the receipt where it should either state credit or debit.
If your receipt states the transaction was run as credit, then please allow up to 7 days from the date of purchase for the cash back to appear in your wallet. If it's been 7 days and you still haven't received cash back, please submit a ticket to our Dosh Support Team. Please make sure to include a screenshot or photo of your receipt.
If your receipt states that the transaction was run as debit, then you may submit a ticket right away. Please note, some chip readers will read your credit card as debit, and unfortunately there is no way around this. If this happened, your transaction likely did not register within our system.
Debit Card Purchases
You can link your eligible debit cards to your account, but our system may not recognize your debit transactions if you make an in-store transaction. If this is the case, you may find that you are missing cash back.
Never fear- we will honor cash back for all qualifying debit transactions. Just make sure to submit a ticket to our Dosh Support Team along with your receipt. For the best possible experience, we recommend linking an eligible credit card to receive automatic cash back. We have found that this works much more consistently!
When your debit card is used the qualifying transaction goes directly to your bank and not the credit card companies that we’re linked with, which are Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We always recommend swiping your linked debit card as a credit card; otherwise, you may not receive cash back automatically.
Please do not use your PIN #; if you input a PIN the transaction goes directly to your bank, so we will not be able to see it. Swiping your debit as a credit allows us to identify your transaction, so that you will receive automatic cash back after you make your qualifying purchase!
